The Waikato Institute of Technology, commonly known as Wintec, is one of New Zealand’s largest and most respected tertiary education providers. Established in 1968, it has grown from a small technical college to a modern institute offering career-focused education to more than 11,000 learners each year. Wintec is a proud member of Te Pūkenga – New Zealand Institute of Skills and Technology, a national network of 16 technical institutes and 11 industry training organisations. Located in the vibrant Waikato region, Wintec offers world-class education across three main campuses in Hamilton – City Campus, Rotokauri Campus, and the Hamilton Gardens Campus – as well as regional training centres.
