If a program at VIU reaches its seat capacity, qualified applicants may be placed on a waitlist. This means they will be considered for admission as seats become available. Applicants are only added to the waitlist once all required documents have been submitted. To improve their chances, students are encouraged to complete all admission steps as early as possible.
To earn a degree at VIU, students need to complete a total of 120 credits. After completing 24 credits, students are eligible to declare a major and can consult with an upper-level degree advisor. A complete list of faculty-specific advisors is available through VIU’s Academic Advising office.
