Students are advised not to submit online applications for multiple programs simultaneously. Once an application has been submitted, they should wait for an admissions update before considering any changes. If a student wishes to apply to a different program, a new application must be submitted. In cases where multiple applications are filed by the same student, only one application will remain active while the others will be withdrawn. All application fees are non-refundable.
Program delivery formats vary by course and may be offered on campus, online, or in a hybrid mode. Students are advised to verify the delivery format indicated at the top of the program description during class registration.
Most programs include a short break between academic terms, generally occurring between December and January. Some programs may offer longer breaks depending on their structure. For program-specific information regarding academic breaks, students should consult their respective department. Note for International Students: Many programs available to international applicants include a term-long break. International students with inquiries are encouraged to contact the VCC International Education Office.
Students are advised to consult their program’s departmental contact before enrolling in part-time courses during the scheduled break, as doing so may affect their program progression.
After students have completed all program requirements and instructors have submitted final grades, the graduation audit process will begin. Certain programs may require students to apply to graduate. The graduation audit may take up to six weeks to complete. If the student is deemed eligible to graduate, the credential will be awarded, and the Program Completion Letter, along with the Electronic Transcript, will be automatically emailed to them. Both documents may be used to apply for the Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP).
