From humble beginnings in 1595 as Bristol Society of Merchant Venturers' Navigation School to becoming a hub for world-leading research with global impact, the University of the West of England (UWE) has a legacy of excellence for centuries that continues to grow. There are 3 campuses of the university that are the Frenchay Campus, the City Campus, and the Glenside Campus. Frenchay campus is the flagship campus that is close to the city centre and has the students’ union, library, sports facilities, shops, and more. The University of the West of England has 38,000+ students out of which there are more than 9,000 are international students.
