The University of the Pacific, established in 1851, holds the distinction of being California's first and oldest University. Founded by pioneering Methodist ministers, it remains the only Methodist-affiliated University in the state. The University's journey began in Santa Clara, later relocating to San Jose, and ultimately settling in Stockton in 1924, becoming the first Private four-year University in California's Central Valley. The University of the Pacific comprises three campuses across Northern California. The Stockton Campus serves as the main campus. It spans 175 acres and offers a diverse array of Undergraduate, Graduate, and Professional programs across nine Schools and Colleges. The other two campuses are in San Francisco and Sacramento.
