The University of North Texas at Frisco (UNT at Frisco) is a vibrant and forward-looking branch of the University of North Texas, formally launched with the opening of its Frisco Landing campus in January 2023. As a branch campus of UNT, it extends the prestige and research legacy of its parent University into the dynamic and rapidly growing region of Frisco, Texas. The UNT main campus, founded in 1890, has earned the designation of a Tier One Research University under the Carnegie Classification, placing it among the leading Universities in the USA. Located on 100 acres donated by the City of Frisco at the southwest corner of Preston Road and Panther Creek Parkway, the Frisco Landing campus was developed via a public-private partnership and officially celebrated with a ribbon-cutting on January 12, 2023. The strategic site ensures excellent accessibility within the Dallas–Fort Worth region and facilitates proximity to industry, technology hubs, and corporate partners. Although still young, UNT at Frisco already enrols over 3,300 students for its Undergraduate and Graduate level programs, with particular strength in applied, project-based, interdisciplinary fields.
