The Apollo University (TAU), Chittoor, Andhra Pradesh, established in November 2021, is a State Private University funded by the Apollo Hospitals Group. It is officially recognised under the Andhra Pradesh Private Universities Act and notified under Section 2(f) of the UGC regulation and comprises five dynamic schools. The campus spans the Apollo Knowledge City, complete with smart classrooms, an expansive library, advanced laboratories, sports facilities, separate hostels, a health clinic, cafeteria, and cultural hub Vividha. In June 2024, TAU signed a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the University of Leicester, UK, to launch pathway programs that enable students to study at The Apollo, India, for two years and the final year in the UK, earning a globally recognised degree. As a Private University backed by Apollo’s healthcare legacy, TAU emphasises experiential learning, with access to an 800-bed district hospital, simulation labs, semester-long internships, Microsoft Azure tools, NASSCOM training modules, and global collaboration with Institutions such as Johns Hopkins, Harvard, Monash, and Women’s Hospital, UNSW and ESIGELEC.
