The University of Jyväskylä is among the largest and one of the most interdisciplinary Universities in Finland. It was founded in 1863 as the first Finnish-language teacher training institution for men and women in the country. Over time, it evolved into a renowned University with six faculties and a variety of courses across levels. In the modern era, it has gained recognition as an international university with excellent education. The University’s campus is spread across three areas – namely, Seminaarinmäki, Mattilanniemi, and Ylistönrinne. The historical architecture received a European Heritage Label in 2022. This Finnish University welcomes more than 14,900 students from across the world, boasting over 26,600 alumnae and 2,800 experienced faculty members. As it offers English-taught courses across various disciplines, many international students flock to study at the University of Jyväskylä, Finland.
