About University of Europe for Applied Sciences, Dubai
Established in 2017 through the merger of two well-known German Institutions, the Business and Information Technology School (BiTS) and the Berliner Technische Kunsthochschule (BTK), the University of Europe for Applied Sciences (UE) brings more than two decades of academic heritage to its newest global location, Dubai. As the first German University to set up a campus in the UAE, UE Dubai officially welcomed its inaugural cohort in Fall 2023, marking a milestone in cross-continental education. Situated strategically in the heart of Dubai’s Future District at One Central, Dubai World Trade Centre, UE Dubai offers an inspiring and accessible urban learning environment. The campus, designed by award-winning Swiss Bureau Interior Design and Build, masterfully blends the clean lines of German Bauhaus with the vibrant context of the Middle East. It features flexible learning zones, a pop-up style library, biophilic elements, a student café, and collaborative breakout areas engineered for creativity and well-being. Additionally, UE’s other four campuses are in Germany. It also has a virtual Metaverse campus; however, UE Dubai remains the focal point for innovation and regional engagement. With a capacity for approximately 1,300 students from diverse global backgrounds, the Dubai campus fosters a multicultural and inclusive academic community. As one of the leading international Universities in Dubai, the academic offerings include pioneering programs at the Master’s and Bachelor’s levels. These programs are taught in English, accredited both by Germany (Brandenburg) and by Dubai’s Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA), ensuring that credits and degrees are internationally recognised. Driven by its mission to be a socio-economic bridge between Germany and the UAE, UE Dubai emphasises industry relevance through strategic partnerships with German-UAE organisations such as DHL and the German-Emirati Joint Council for Industry & Commerce (AHK). These collaborations enhance employability and provide invaluable networking, internships, and project-based learning opportunities after studying at the University of Europe for Applied Sciences.
