The minimum GPA requirement for eligibility into the Co-op Program at the University of Alberta is 2.3. However, the actual admission cut-off may be higher depending on the specific discipline and the competitiveness of applicants.
Students admitted to the Mechanical Engineering - Alternate Format program are required to attend courses year-round without semester breaks. The Alternate Format program is commonly referred to as Mechanical Trad 2 within the University.
Program decisions are final and cannot be appealed. However, after completing one year in their assigned program, students may apply for a transfer to a different program.
Upon application, students receive an email containing their UAlberta Campus Computing ID (CCID). This CCID serves as their login credential for the University of Alberta email account. To access the email account, students must go to the U of A webpage and click on the magnifying glass.
