Beijing Normal-Hong Kong Baptist University (BNBU) is a pioneering institution in higher education, founded in 2005 through a full-scale collaboration between the Chinese mainland and Hong Kong. Located in Zhuhai City, within the dynamic Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, BNBU is the first modern college in the Chinese mainland to uphold a liberal arts education. In March 2025, the University adopted its current name, previously known as Beijing Normal University-Hong Kong Baptist University United International College (UIC). BNBU is home to a diverse student community from around the world, offering an inclusive and globally focused-academic environment. As a research-driven institution, BNBU operates eight research centers, fostering academic excellence and groundbreaking discoveries. The University consists of six faculties and schools, delivering nearly 30 Undergraduate programs across 13 departments, as well as a range of research and taught Postgraduate programs. Applicants with non-local qualifications who have completed Grade 13 or Grade 12 with strong academic performance but have not completed at least one year of a bachelor's degree program may still be considered for admission. Applications in such cases are reviewed individually.
Students who have completed at least one year of full-time study in a three-year Honours Degree program or two years in a four-year Honours Degree program at a recognized institution may apply for admission to Year Two. Upon acceptance, students can request a transfer of credits for equivalent courses at UIC.
Admission offers are made between March and June. Applicants who receive an offer will be notified via email or phone.
Yes, all international students admitted to UIC are provided with on-campus accommodation.
