Established in May 2016 through the merger of Waiariki Institute of Technology and Bay of Plenty Polytechnic, Toi Ohomai Institute of Technology has swiftly become a foundation of vocational and applied education in New Zealand. As one of the largest tertiary education providers in the country, it serves over 14,000 students, including more than a significant number of international learners choosing to study at Toi Ohomai Institute of Technology. The Institute is spread across five main campuses in Rotorua, Tauranga, Taupō, Tokoroa, and Whakatāne. The Rotorua campus, Mokoia, is situated just 5 km from the city centre. Tauranga's Windermere Campus spans 24 hectares of landscaped grounds and features modern facilities.
