Tennessee Technological University, commonly referred to as Tennessee Tech University, is a distinguished public research institution located in Cookeville, Tennessee. It was established by an act of the Tennessee General Assembly in 1915 and has been welcoming students since 1916. Over more than a century of growth, Tech has evolved from a small technical institute into one of the leading universities, offering a comprehensive, high-quality education. Recognized as one of the top universities in the USA for Engineering, Technology, and Applied Sciences, Tennessee Tech is classified as an R2: Doctoral University, indicating high research activity. The campus sprawls across approximately 235 acres in the serene, picturesque college town of Cookeville, blending state-of-the-art academic buildings with verdant green spaces.
