The National College of Ireland (NCI) is a state-supported institution of higher education located in Dublin. Established in 1951, it began as a collaborative initiative between Irish trade unions and the Jesuit community, originally operating under the name Catholic Workers College, Dublin. The National College of Ireland Dublin campus is in the International Financial Services Centre, spread across Mayor Square and Spencer Dock, just a short walk from each other. Designed with students in mind, the campus features modern lecture halls, tech-equipped labs, and excellent transport connections, including Luas and nearby train stations. With a student population of over 6,000 representing more than 120 nationalities, the National College of Ireland fosters a diverse and inclusive academic environment. This community is supported by approximately 190 academic staff and over 150 administrative and support personnel. To deliver its wide range of programmes, the College operates through several academic divisions, including the School of Computing, the School of Business, and the Centre for Education and Lifelong Learning.
