Established in 1893, Montana State University is a public land-grant research university located in Bozeman, Montana. It is the largest university and the leading research institution in the state, with a student population of over 17,000. In addition to its main campus in Bozeman, the university operates three other campuses and agencies, namely, MSU Billings, MSU Northern, and Great Falls College MSU, extending its academic and research reach across Montana. Montana State University is organised into more than ten academic colleges. These include the College of Agriculture, which houses six departments; the College of Arts and Architecture, with four departments; and the College of Business, which also has four departments. The College of Education, Health and Human Development operates through four departments, while the College of Engineering is one of the largest, comprising eight departments. The College of Letters and Science includes sixteen departments. In addition, the university has a dedicated College of Nursing, the Graduate School, Gallatin College, the Honours College, and a further twenty-eight specialised departments supporting interdisciplinary study. Recognised among respected universities in USA, Montana State University is accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU).
