Midway University USA was started in 1847 by a minister Dr. Lewis Pinkerton who was also a physician. Over decades, it evolved majorly and changed to a fully co-educational format in 2016 also received the status of university. Today it is known for its career focused majors and its unique Equine Studies, Nursing and Business programs. The university has its campus in the historic town on Midway, Kentucky. This beautiful 200-acre residential campus doubles as a fully optional, working horse farm located in the center of Kentucky’s internationally renowned Thoroughbred horse country. The scenic close-knit campus features prominent facilities that include the Anne Hart Raymond Building, the McManis Student Center, and an on-campus Equestrian Center equipped with multiple barns and an indoor riding arena. Midway University hosts a diverse student population with traditional undergraduate, adult evening, and online graduate learners.
