Leeds Arts University, located on Blenheim Walk in Leeds, traces its origins to 1846 with the establishment of the original Leeds School of Art. During the mid-1980s, the Blenheim Walk building was developed, allowing the institution to broaden its facilities and academic offerings. In 2017, it was officially granted university status and became known as Leeds Arts University. It stands today as the only dedicated arts university in the North of England. To issue the CAS, the university will first send a pre-CAS questionnaire to the student, listing the documents required for CAS issuance. Once the university has received, reviewed, and approved the submitted documents and confirmed the tuition fee deposit, they will issue the CAS number to the student.
