Lakeland College was founded in 1913 as the Vermilion School of Agriculture. At present, it holds the distinction of being Alberta’s third-oldest Post Secondary Institution and Canada’s only Inter Provincial College. Guided by the motto ‘Ever to Excel’, Lakeland has evolved into a leading Public College renowned for its strong applied learning focus, practical research, and career-centred education. Lakeland College is known for operating on two campuses in Vermilion and Lloydminster. These modern campuses feature versatile facilities, as well as historic Alumni House and cutting-edge labs in Agriculture, Animal Health, Emergency Training, Design, and Trades. Today, over 6,400 full-time and part-time students across 50+ Degree, Diploma, and Certificate options study at Lakeland College.
