About Korean Bible University
The Korean Bible University (KBU) was founded in 1952 by Dr. Kang Tae-guk in the backdrop of widespread destruction and devastation that occurred during the Korean War period. With a dream of rebuilding and transforming the country with the Christian gospel, it originally began as a simple theological college for pastors. Currently, the university has emerged as one of the leading evangelical colleges in South Korea, widely acclaimed for its distinctive integration of ministry training, computer software studies, early childhood development education, and complete global nursing courses. It has a highly integrated campus that is strategically situated in the northeastern district of Seoul, known as Nowon-gu. The university campus is very distinctive in having state-of-the-art facilities designed for both practical and spiritual training of students. Some of the key facilities are software labs, specialized simulation training centers for health care, and a theological library serving as the main resource center for students' academic and spiritual reflections. KBU is a very cohesive and academically focused community of students who wish to serve their society based on the teachings of Christ. International students enrich the academic experience at KBU, bringing their global perspective and being sourced from several Asian and African nations. This culturally diversified atmosphere is headed by competent professors. The professors at KBU hail from prestigious academic backgrounds, many of them possessing doctorate degrees from leading seminaries and universities around the world. As part of its research and educational activities, the university emphasizes development in technology and practice. KBU receives funding from government projects such as the University Innovation Support Project[AS5.1] to carry out innovative research on deep learning artificial intelligence and driver-state recognition architectures. Apart from its prominent theological training facility, the university has received accreditation for professional excellence by relevant national institutions such as the Korean Accreditation Board of Nursing. Students receive exemplary career opportunities after graduating from KBU owing to its impressive placement rates. This positive trend is largely attributed to the active alumni network of KBU, providing constant mentorship and career development support for its former students. Due to its domestic and international missions, alumni continue to remain highly engaged in global welfare societies.
