IMI Switzerland was established in 1991 and is recognized as one of the country’s leading hospitality management institutions. In 1995, it entered into an academic partnership with Manchester Metropolitan University. This collaboration combined the strengths of Swiss hospitality education with the recognition of a UK-accredited degree. In 1997, the institute relocated to its current campus in Kastanienbaum, located twelve minutes from the city of Lucerne. The new site provided students with a focused academic setting alongside access to Lucerne’s cultural activities and café scene. International Management Institute Switzerland hosts students from around 50 nationalities enrolled in both Master’s and Bachelor’s Programs. With a highly qualified core faculty and small class sizes, the institute ensures individual attention and maintains academic quality through recognized UK accreditations.
