Established in 1990 as a private hotel school in the United Kingdom, the Hotel & Tourism Management Institute Switzerland (HTMi) later relocated to Switzerland in 1999 as part of its expansion strategy. Since then, it has grown into one of the largest Swiss hotel schools by enrolment and has built a strong reputation for producing skilled professionals for the global hospitality industry, making it a popular choice for students who wish to study at Hotel & Tourism Management Institute Switzerland. It also has international campuses in Uzbekistan, Dubai, Kazakhstan, Saudi Arabia, and China. HTMi is the only Swiss hotel management school in the world with its own international hotel management company, Swisstouches Hotels and Resorts. The institute follows the motto ‘Come as a Student, Become a Manager,’ reflecting its focus on shaping students into future leaders. The campus is located in Sörenberg, a picturesque Swiss alpine village, and comprises two main facilities – Hotel Campus Mariental and Hotel Campus Panorama. These serve as training hotels, classrooms, offices, and residences, creating a complete learning and living environment. Currently, the institute accommodates around 420 students representing more than 35 nationalities, fostering a truly international community, which is a hallmark of education in Switzerland.
