About Grand Sud Tourism School
The 1950s were the golden age of France’s tourism expansion. To capitalize on this movement, France heavily invested in the regional infrastructure, promoting and stabilizing its resort and leisure economies. While the tourism industry was expanding, the country faced a severe shortage of qualified personnel to support it. This need is what gave rise to the Grand Sud Formation Tourism School in Toulouse, France, in 1991. Grand Sud Formation Tourism School was one of the first private specialized training schools that focused entirely on tourism, travel, hospitality, and event management. Its purpose in the beginning was to train professionals for France’s domestic tourism & hospitality industry. However, as the institute evolved and expanded with time, it became increasingly international, and the focus shifted to global tourism companies and international mobility. Their expansion became truly global when they opened their first international campus in Dubai. The selection of Dubai as the location of their international campus was strategic. Dubai sits at the crossroads of the world, serving as a bridge between East and West. Its rapid expansion as a global education, technology, and innovation powerhouse opened unparalleled opportunities. In addition, the city is one of the world’s biggest tourism and hospitality hubs, home to global hotel brands, luxury resorts, airlines, and tourism businesses. With the opening of the Grand Sud Tourism School in Dubai, the institute aims to provide strong industry exposure, enabling students to benefit from a multicultural environment and learn how international tourism operates in real-world settings. Currently, the institution provides courses in Business Management, Marketing, Tourism, and Hospitality, rooted in European excellence.
