Founded in 1967 in Ontario, Georgian College began as a small community-focused institution within a Barrie shopping plaza. Over the decades, it has grown steadily and is now counted among Canada’s fastest expanding colleges. With a strong emphasis on practical learning, Georgian remains committed to fostering innovation, shaping individual journeys, and building stronger ties across communities through education. Georgian College’s main campus is located in Barrie, with additional campuses in Midland, Muskoka, Orangeville, Orillia, Owen Sound, and South Georgian Bay. Spanning a combined area of approximately 21,000 square kilometres, these campuses are deeply rooted in the communities they serve. Each location functions as more than just an academic centre, contributing actively to the social and cultural life of its region. In support of student success, the college invests over $6.7 million annually in bursaries, awards, and scholarships. Georgian College has cultivated a strong alumni network of over 110,000 graduates across various industries and regions.
