Capilano University (CapU) began in 1968 as a college with over 700 students enrolled in its first year. Established as part of a 1960s initiative to expand access to post-secondary education in British Columbia, the university now looks toward 2030 with a vision centred on imagination, community, and a distinct educational experience. CapU operates across five locations. The main campus is in North Vancouver, British Columbia. Additional sites include the Squamish campus, Sunshine Coast campus, CapU Lonsdale, and the Ts'zil Learning Centre. It serves a student body of over 9,950, including more than 3,850 international students representing 92 countries. Classes are intentionally kept small, with an average of 24 students per class, guided by over 12,000 employees, allowing for personalized support and focused academic guidance. Capilano University is famous for its Undergraduate studies, offering a wide range of options tailored to diverse academic interests, professional goals, and career directions.
