Established in 1967, Cambrian College is one of Ontario’s premier colleges of applied arts and technology. Known for its career-focused education and hands-on learning approach, the college has its main campus in Sudbury (Barry Downe Campus), along with three additional campuses located in Toronto, Manitoulin, and Espanola. Yes. Cambrian College is a fully accredited, publicly funded community college operating under the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities. All full-time post-secondary programs are approved and recognized by the Province of Ontario and the Canadian Government.
After applying, students receive an email from the admissions office at the address provided on their Ontario Colleges application. This email includes the student number and instructions to access the myCambrian account for tracking the application.
A waitlist is created when all seats in a program are filled. Qualified applicants on the waitlist may receive an admission offer if seats open up. Offers are sent via email and must be accepted within the given timeframe. Students can also accept an offer for an open enrollment program without losing their position on a limited enrollment program waitlist.
No. Enrollment is not permitted after the expiry date mentioned on the official Letter of Admission.
If internships, co-ops, or placements are mandatory for the program, students need a co-op work permit before starting. The permit lists Cambrian College as the employer and allows work only during approved co-op terms. It cannot be used for other jobs outside these terms.
