California State University, Dominguez Hills (CSUDH) was established in 1960. It began holding its first classes in 1965 at a temporary location housed within the California Federal Savings Bank in Rolling Hills Estates. The permanent campus officially opened in October 1968. The CSUDH campus spans 346 acres in the South Bay region of Los Angeles County. Accredited by the WASC Senior College and University Commission, it is one of the 23 campuses that comprise the California State University system. It is a well-regarded USA University with over 14,262 students. It offers programs at both Graduate and Undergraduate levels. Students study under the guidance of expert faculty across five main colleges: Business Administration and Public Policy; Health, Human Services, and Nursing; Arts and Humanities; Education; and Natural and Behavioral Sciences. The university also provides professional development programs through the College of Continuing and Professional Education. At CSUDH, the Office of Graduate Studies and Research plays a central role in supporting scholarly achievement.
